climbing

The temperature display in our car today said it was a steady 108 out. I'm not sure how exactly accurate that is, but it was (is) H-O-T.

We got out of the house today to enjoy some air conditioning paid for by some one else, and went to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. We had a pass from our library and their website said they had an Ansel Adams exhibit up until tomorrow, huzzah!

Except that they didn't.

And we're not sure where we saw the ad but we both saw it as a current exhibition until June 6. Oh well. We walked around the little museum. Two exhibit halls were closed for installations in process. Which left two galleries with something to see, and one outdoor space.

Luckily one of the exhibits included an invitation to sit down and play an old game called The Royal Game of Goose. So we did. And Mr. Yin won after my goose got stuck in prison.

The outdoor space was very soothing and pretty, but being the temperature it was, it didn't take much time to absorb the beauty and move indoors.

Our adventure to the museum was kind of a bust. More of a let-down, I guess.

And took us a whopping 45 minutes, which included a trip to the loo and a walk through the gift shop.

We did collect Sprinkle's cupcakes on the way home.
