We decided the chub was ready to try to eat some real food.
We opted to start with sweet potatoes.

He wasn't as thrilled to really eat as he was to just suck sweet juice out of fruit.
But he didn't make a mess at all and managed to swallow everything we offered him, which I found very impressive.
Click here for a video of his first eating experience.
He also got a new fancy seat to celebrate. He sits in it like he owns the place.
But meal time has become much easier with him in his own seat.

Oh my!

We should all be so lucky to have a 'first food' setting like that! Are those fries! I'm in!
Does dinner always look like that in NJ? If so, i may need to come visit sooner rather than later!
I'm worried about how long he'll fit in that chair!
I'm with Chris and Erica: if meals always look like that in NJ, sign me up! No wonder Tiny T loved those sweet potatoes.
Said Phebe while watching the video: "He hungry. He happy. He funny!"
It's so much fun to watch kiddos eat their first foods! The faces they make of delight, wonderment, and pure disgust is so exciting!
